Tune Pulse 2i for better sound

Post by stereopolique » Thu Jul 11, 2019 8:29 am

Hey guys,

I got the Pulse 2i recently and must say, despite the amazing highs, I miss the full-bodied sound of the old Pulse 2. I wanted to know from you Pulse 2i owners: How did you tune your player? I now activated Deep Bass and Stereo to Max but maybe you have some other ideas how to get that feel of the old player back.

Like you, I auditioned the Pulse 2i and was disappointed in it. I have the original Pulse and love the warmth and depth of the sound. I'm curious to know whether the 2i can be tuned to sound like the original, if so I'd consider buying another.

Looking at the specs across all three Pulse generations, they are different so doubt they can "sound the same". I have not heard either 2 or 2i, but used to own the original Pulse and liked it. In comparison, I was never a fan of the Mini 2, but am pleased with the Mini 2i, so preference over generations do vary.
