BluOS 3.2.10 with Alexa support

Post by wabby » Tue Jan 08, 2019 4:49 pm

Finally they released the Alexa support.
Upgraded all my speakers and added the skill to Alexa.

Sadly, it's the worst feature ever and it sucks big time. And I've waited 2 bloody years for this.

Doesn't matter what I say.

F.ex
"Alexa, ask blue voice to play Ramstein"
What happens is that Bluesound start playing random songs from my NAS instead.

If I say
"Alexa, ask blue voice to play Ramstein from spotify"
Nothing happens.
Doesn't matter if I try other artists to.

I want to know the right voice commands to trigger music from spotify and tune in.
As for now. It's useless.

Tried this https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/arti ... uOS-Skills and the link at the bottom there?

I hope it is useful to you.

Yes, It's really stupid!

I want to say "Alexa, next song". Instead of screaming a whole bloody story to her.

Also, IF spotify is playing and I say Alexa. I want her to pause or lower the volume while I speak. But that's apparently not an option.

Great that it's released..
but looking at the commands..
Trying to change the default player.. I get "im sorry I don't understand that..."

Infact most commands don't work.. as it says..

I'll assume we are waiting for updates??

Wow, Jan 15th? I thought it already had voice capability? I've been yelling at my Vault for years - so this explains why it has never answered back.

Actually, once I thought it did reply, but it turned out to be my wife wanting me to take out the garbage.

Don't think Alexa is generation specific? Only airplay is.
