I have reseted my Node 2, the Android App and the tablet / phone, many times before deciding to change the resolution of the image to a multiple of 100 pixels. The library was rebuilt many times, and both data and cache of Android Application was cleared many times, too.

It was the editing / saving that made the artwork work not the multiple of 100 pixels.

Drop new artwork on your files (of the correct data size) and your issues will probably go away.

Hello,

Thank you for your replies about editing the images.

I performed the test : I have edited the 450 pixels images of Cover,jpg file by adding a "Sepia" effect. Then I reseted both Node 2 and android application (clear data and cache) and re-indexed the Node 2 library… and : fail ! The album arts are displayed slowly.

Here is a video that shows the issue (450 pixels + sepia).

So I reverted to my temporary / test « multiple of 100 album arts » library  : I reseted both Node 2 and Android application (clear data and cache) and re-indexed the library… and  it works fine.

My networked shared music is used with other players (non Bluesound) that displays album arts on TV : I am not ready to manage 2 shared folders (one for BlueSound, one for the others) or loose image quality.

My Android Tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, running Android 9.0 (Pie). Today, it is the most powerful tablet manufactured by Samsung.

What is the data size in kb of the artwork you tested with?

Maximum size of my albumarts (all JPEG) is 60 kb

I would spend a bit of time and do the following...


Identify an Album that artwork for which is not showing and create a new share with just this Album.

Google and find a new picture that is quite big in resolution say 900x900 (or bigger) but not more than 600kb data size. Make sure 100% it is a jpeg as having a jpeg extension does not make it a jpeg :shock: and change its name to cover.jpg

Remove all other shares apart from the new one with a single album.

Then... help... diagnostics... Rebuild index

Close all apps on the tablet, power cycle and then hope its working.
