Rip cds with pre emphasis

Post by DSOTM » Thu May 09, 2019 7:47 pm

Hey there. I was thinking of adding the vault 2i in my “family “,but sadly as I know it doesn’t support pre emphasis cds. Many classical cds are still to this day recorded with pre emphasis. Pre emphasize when ripped wrong sounds bright. But as we all know if you play a pre emphasis cd in a normal CD player, most Marantz players supports pre emphasis, the sound we’ll be deemhasised, hence no more bright highs. So if you ripped it wrong you’ll hear it right away. I’m really hoping BS would add this feature, then maybe I’ll buy it. But I’ve thought of buying me a Mac,portal with a good optical drive. I don’t know if there are difference between optical drives,so please add your suggestions. Sepppie said iTunes detects pre emhasis cds,but according to Steve Hoffman forum it does not. Whose right? I hope it’s Seppie. But how do I transfer my pre emhasis ccdes from my Mac to the NODE2i. Because can’t you use your unit in this case the node as a “nas”. Thanks
