Excellent. Amazing. A fixed 2.1 + 2 group. Isn't that very pseudo? :) With no center channel and no surround channels, where's the fun? :|
Who said anything about fun?
when playing non 5.1 sound tracks it sounds amazing.

Re: Powenode 2i for rears in surround sound

But you can group together with a soundbar for an excellent pseudo 5.1 sound which is pretty amazing.

Bluesound in hotel

Long story short - I’m In Melbourne for 6 weeks (if not more) for business. I have a nice little apartment but lacking any good source of music. Ok the walls are thin so I also hear Neighbour a snoring or occasionally scoring. I’m tempted to get a small set of Monitor Audio 90’s with a PowerNode 2i ...

Re: Adding a Node2 to a Home Theatre Group

Don’t forget NAD M10 which runs BluOS native and fearless HDMI input. In order to stream 5.1 or indeed 7.1 channels and keep them synchronized across multiple devices is much harder than a pure stereo. 8 channels compared to 2. additionally the master source is decoding from HDMI and needs to keep t...

Re: Adding a Node2 to a Home Theatre Group

Currently you can also group a Node2 + external amp with other BS devices. You also want those to play in sync, so I don’t see the difference. The simple support reply would be: “we can’t control synchronization with external (digital) amps.. ;) I have a node 2 and powernode 2 grouped as a pseudo h...

Re: Tidal

Um - not sure what you are trying with AirPlay 2 and Tidal. If you open the BluOS app and select your player you can then choose your source - a Tidal account does nicely - and then stream. I never ever switched on Airplay even though I am a iOS / Mac user. Just never needed it. As a Tidal HiFi subs...

Re: Switch recommendations

I’ve been happy with the Netgear switches - and generally push to get the slightly more expensive “unmanaged” versions. Eg Gs105 or 108. They are SoHo “small office home office” and just work. The smart managed plus ones are slightly more expensive but work perfectly for streaming optical input vi S...

Re: Really starting to hate my Bluesound experience

There was also a firmware update to the airport express last summer which would be helpful to apply via the utility app (advanced settings)

Re: Really starting to hate my Bluesound experience

By default WiFi will switch to the slowest speed of any device connected. Same is true for Airport Express. For standard tcp protocols which can buffer data so you don't see "loss" your connected devices will work well. Bluesound do spend a lot of time testing on many different network configuration...
