Re: broken "Reindex music collection" - BluOS 3.0

FYI
Since installing 3.0 I lost album art on my NAD M50.2 - worked OK in ipad app, just not M50.2
I tried Reindex, Updating Album Art, all the usual steps, but no luck
Sent Help Request
with no weekend reply, tried one more thing -- disconnected power to M50.2 then back on
seems to work OK now

Re: Powernode2 w/ Outdoor Speakers

I've used Polk outdoor speakers for many years -- they seem to hold up very well, especially for the price, in Western New York weather I got the original Powernode when it first came out, and treated myself then to some new Polk Atrium 6 speakers -- have them mounted on mailbox posts at corners of ...

Re: NAD M51 and Bluesound Node 2

That M51 is an absolutely incredible DAC! I really wish there was an M51.2 that could have BlueOS (and MQA) in it. I've been using the M51 since it first came out, and still like it. But I'd also like to see a V2 with MQA. I probably won't change my DAC/preamp just for MQA (yet) but when I do make ...

Re: Album Scroll Jerky

Haven't seen anyone else mention this, on both our iPads and both our iPhones, when scrolling through album covers it is very jerky. On all previous versions and the NAD Controller it is smooth. This is very annoying and as I am a migraine sufferer, at times I feel this action is going to bring one...

Re: hdmi

Hi fla yeah, I experimented with all of the outputs from M50 when I got the NAD suite -- used a variety of cables, mostly mid-high end Audioquest, left each in for a few weeks then repeated, before deciding obviously what's "better" will depend on your own preferences, and the specific cables used -...

Re: BluOS 2.0 Release Date March 22nd 2016

well, this upgrade has certainly generated a lot of activity within the forum  I've been playing around a bit with the app on my ipad -- figured I'd give it a fair shake before reacting, and see what others had to say -- understanding that user feedback will yield some adjustments down the line...

Re: DAC digital input limited to fs 96khz with node 2 ?

while each DAC chip manufacturer tends to have a "house sound", the chip itself is often really just a starting point -- the sound is affected as much or more by integration of the chip with the analogue stage, digital stage and even the power supply that said, based on my experience, AK chips tend ...

Re: Marantz had dac 1 vs the dac in node 2

Thanks. I well consider maybe the Nad dac. Thought It all comes down to personal taste. But did the Marantz dac YouTube borrowed had many hours on it. Burn in I mean Marantz was fairly new, so yeah might have calmed down a bit with some more burn in -- but the NAD was virtually brand new and still ...

Re: Marantz had dac 1 vs the dac in node 2

I demoed the Marantz DAC for my basement system, along with several others in the same price range or slightly below -- liked it overall but it wasn't nearly as warm as the NAD D1050, and in that room with bright speakers I needed more warmth than the Node's DAC provided, so I got the NAD -- knew im...
