Re: Flex Skin?

The silicone skin is easy to clean, one of my Flexs goes outside in summer and the skin offers cosmetic protection from grimy fingers more than anything else.

Re: Regular skips when playing Tidal MQA

@hemlock

My bad. I do have a Gen 2 module. Bought the C368 last June and the module arrived a month later. Yes, to MQA steaming, also in Canada.

Re: Regular skips when playing Tidal MQA

I have a Gen 1 MDC module in my NAD C368 and don't have a problem streaming Tidal to it over a wired connection through a power line adapter. Have you tried logging out from your Tidal account and logging back in? Beats wearing a chicken on your head. Not sure as I haven't done it but it must be pos...

Re: Indexing bypasses Network Shares after first share

On a Mac you can use an app called xACT to run that check. I know there are at least a few PC programs that can do that as well, but I don't use a PC so you're on your own there. Many thanks for the tip. It looks like xACT may have been abandoned by its author, Scott Brown, the version I found onli...

Re: Library Troubleshooting Update

The problem appears to be resolved now and it is clearly a metadata issue. Though how and when it was introduced to my NAS I have no idea. It affected both old and new tracks. For the new tracks it seems to have originated during the CD ripping process, though I have not changed the procedure I use ...

Re: Indexing bypasses Network Shares after first share

Addendum: The files that are identified in the log by the 'wrong' and 'failed' markers will play from the computer, their meta data doesn't indicate a problem and a scan with Audio File Health Check returns zero errors.

Re: Indexing bypasses Network Shares after first share

i.e., how would one search for a bad track? I tried searching "failed" and got too many hits to be useful. I'm following your progress with great interest too. I have a similar issue, my library of a single share won't add new tracks. I poked around the log file parsing it the best I could and, in ...

Re: Library Troubleshooting

May or not help you but I do keep plugging the app Bliss from Blisshq.com. Thanks SeppiE. Over a year ago I tried a trial of Bliss that allowed 100 free fixes but it mis-identified about 10% of the albums it fixed and replaced cover art with random covers. I found it unreliable. I'll continue to mu...

Re: Library Troubleshooting

While waiting for a response from Support I've begun to troubleshoot myself, parsing the BluOS log as best I can. There are a few clues that identify problematic files though repair methods are elusive. The log identifies some problem files this way: "scan failed for /var/mnt/192.168.1.99-BLUESOUNDM...
